Full Factorial Design Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Origanum vulgare

نویسندگان

چکیده

Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) involves a reduction reaction metal salt solution mixed with plant extract. The yield can be controlled using several independent factors, such as extract and concentration, temperature, incubation time. AgNPs from Origanum vulgare (oregano) were synthesized in the past. However, no investigations performed on combined effects factors that affect synthesis. In this work, nitrate, oregano extract, sodium hydroxide (NaOH) concentrations chosen full factorial design under Response Surface Methodology was employed. UV–Vis absorbance spectroscopy, X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) used to characterize nanoparticles. A Voigt function fitted measured spectra. fitting parameters function, peak wavelength, area, Full Width at Half Maximum, responses. quadratic model for wavelength area. NaOH concentration proved dominant factor nanoparticle showed characteristic plasmon resonance 409 nm. XRD verified crystallinity FTIR identified ligands involved.
